Linda Varas, Principal
Linda concentrates on running and overseeing the back office operations of the company.
Linda has been in the property management business for more than 20 years. Since 1994 she has been president and a principal of Rainbow Property Management, LLC, a third party management firm with expertise in subsidized rentals, market rate rentals, community associations and commercial property.
Rainbow Property Management was recently awarded the AMO designation (Accredited Management Organization) by IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management). There are less than 540 firms worldwide who have been awarded this prestigious designation. Linda is also a real estate investor herself.
Matt Zidow, Operations Manager
Matt comes to us fresh from his comprehensive management position at thinkorswim, Inc. by TD AmeriTrade, an elite-level trading platform for options, trade equities, futures, and the foreign exchange market. He worked at thinkorswim from its early startup days through its acquisition and incorporation as a TD AmeriTrade division for six years. Matt supervised a financial services team, was involved in many aspects of domestic and international financial operations, and was a retirement account manager and IRA specialist.
His proven expertise in developing and refining internal systems and procedures, retirement account management and IRS compliance, and knowledge of alternative investments will provide Next Generation Trust Services with valuable operational guidance and organization as we continue to grow and evolve.
Matt graduated from University of Illinois, College of Business, with BS in finance. He was certified by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), now part of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), with licenses in Series 7, 63, and 3 products.
Timothy Wilms-Crowley, Transaction Supervisor
Tim supervises all transaction activity and account billing processes for Next Generation Trust to ensure our clients’ transactions are accurately and efficiently processed and recorded. He also interacts with our clients to provide them with the information necessary to open and invest with their self-directed retirement plans, and is available to answer any questions or concerns.
Tim is well-versed in IRS regulations surrounding self-directed retirement plans, and brings his background as a teller operations specialist for Bank of America to his work at Next Generation Trust Services. His expertise in compliance requirements and his diligent record-keeping skills aid in the client investment process.
DeAnna Vecchio, Billing & Collections Supervisor
DeAnna specializes in routing and organizing client transaction documents to expedite their investments. DeAnna is very well-versed in the intricacies of IRS regulations and typically handles client investments and transactions. She is happy to help with transaction-related and general questions.
DeAnna reviews all transactions for accuracy and recommends that clients contact her first before beginning the investment process to ensure a seamless and timely transaction. She focuses on client education and her first priority is providing excellent customer service.
DeAnna is a graduate of Pace University with a degree in business management.
Tara Bartley, Administrative Assistant
Tara’s extensive office management, client contact, and accounting experience is instrumental in supporting our staff members. In her prior positions, Tara has developed accounting office workflow and filing systems, prepared and processed payroll tax returns, and has performed a wide range of office and client bookkeeping duties.
At NGTS, her administrative and clerical assistance keeps our team organized and efficient and helps expedite our clients’ transactions. With her growing knowledge of self-directed retirement plans and associated transactions, Tara will be working with our clients as well in the areas of new accounts. She will help them get their new accounts open, answer questions new clients may have about self-direction, and guide them to other staff members or outside resources for vital information.
From New Zealand to Australia to Hong Kong, and now the United States, Heather’s careers span the globe and the marketing, recruitment, and real estate fields. After a start in desktop publishing, she quickly rose to become the marketing manager and brand manager for an overseas office of Deloitte Touche, a global accounting firm, where she handled everything from creative briefs to art direction to production. In Hong Kong, Heather was the marketing and advertising manager of two major recruitment firms specializing in the legal industry, and then added office management to her resume. She later transitioned to real estate and corporate relocation coordination for expatriates coming from abroad to the bustling Hong Kong market.
No stranger to acquiring new skills, Heather will be learning Next Generation Trust’s complete transaction process, will help process new or closing accounts, and will put her formidable marketing skills to good use in assisting with our firm’s marketing development. Heather is certified, trained, and qualified in dozens of software programs for PC and Mac including the full Microsoft suite, as well as management programs.
Bill Wittler, Administrative Assistant, Transactions
Bill will put his experience in property appraisals and cash management to good use in his support role for transactions and account billing. Bill’s background includes research and appraisals for a real estate appraisal firm in northern New Jersey and extensive customer service, bookkeeping, and cash management responsibilities for a high-end regional grocery chain. He says that the attention to detail and experience with real estate and customer service in recent jobs will serve him well at Next Generation Trust Services.
Bill is also a certified paralegal with training in a broad range of legal specialties, and he has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Rutgers University, so it’s a safe bet he’ll be closely monitoring IRS compliance issues.
